when trying to enter Hebrew titles for the home page widgets, it doesn’t let me save the widget.

We have checked in our demo and its working fine. This is the WordPress default feature so this will work with all theme.

I saw this theme is marked as translation ready,

The theme is ready for translation so you can add your string in any language.
You can find pot file from this link.

By clicking on “export”, you can download “po” file and change extension as “pot”. You can add your string as per your requirement in downloaded “pot” file.

Are there any known issues with using child theme generator plugins which can possibly break the site? Would you suggest manually creating a child theme and would there be any issues with a manually created child theme?

Yes, you can easily create a child theme from here. And There will be no issues with a manually created child theme.

If I continue to develop using the “Business Point” theme and later switch to “Business Point Plus”, is the theme architecture developed in a way that a child theme produced will apply correctly to that theme? I primarily will only make changes to the “style.css” file.

If you will change in the style.css only then it will not cause an issue
but if you are using any hook then it will not work in your child theme.

disabled “Show Posted Date” and publish.

It may be an issue of parent page selection.
Child pages of Slider page will be shown in slider only.

So please make sure your new slider page have “Parent Page:” as “sliders“.
